No Ordinary People

February 19, 2019

There are no ordinary people around

We all are unique in our own way,

Special gifts God gives to us all

Discover, and use them each day.

God’s Creation is actually extraordinary

There’s an array of complimentary roles,

Every role is critical to His purpose

So God created us with complex souls.

God is at work through His Spirit

He’s bringing the hidden to light,

He refines and polishes up our gifts

He always wants us to use them right.

Some people may go from rags to riches

From obscurity, may even find fame,

God wants to be proud of His children

So be careful not to tarnish His Name.

We all hunger to make a difference;

Need to feel important in someone’s eyes,

God has a special plan for us all

He seeks to grow us and make us wise.

God’s plan doesn’t rely on our greatness

But rather on His greatness to win,

Willing to serve God regardless the cost

He equips us in our battle against sin.

The following scripture speaks of the different gifts God’s Spirit has distributed to each of us in order to do His mission work.  “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-6.  This scripture proves that there are no ordinary people.  God’s gifts to us are never ordinary.  He has given each of us different gifts to match what service is best suited for us.  We merely have to be willing to serve Him in the best way we know how.  God wants to use us for His glory.  His success does not depend upon us, but on His greatness to accomplish His purpose and plan.  God wants to grow us and make us wise though.  He wants all of His followers working together in a peaceable manner.  We are representing Him in our actions, and we should be striving daily not to tarnish His great Name.  Every role given to us by His Spirit is important regardless of how big or small it seems to us.  God sees things differently than we do.  God looks upon our heart and attitude toward our service to Him.  It’s not a race to outdo someone else, but us seeing that our piece/role as being important in completing the puzzle.  You’re important in God’s eyes.
